Choosing a day? Wednesday and Thursday offer the same divisions, so midweek waves are an option if you can take the time off. Saturday has the longest Men’s window, and Sunday is for Women and Doubles.
Check-In
- Registration on site opens 90 minutes before the first start time; you can register from 90 minutes before your assigned start.
- Photo ID is required, and each athlete has to collect their own race pack in person.
- To enter the hall before your check-in window, go via Spectator Check-In with your ticket and ID. Your athlete ticket doubles as a spectator pass only on the day you race.
Getting to Music City Center
Music City Center is in the heart of downtown Nashville, a short walk from Broadway and the downtown hotel cluster. If you stay downtown, walking is the easiest race-morning plan. From Nashville International Airport (BNA) or the suburbs, rideshare is simplest; if you drive, use the garages around the center and allow time for downtown traffic — mid-December is a busy holiday period in the city.
The race is indoors, so December weather won’t affect the course, but bring a warm layer for the walk in and your warm-up.
Nine Weeks to Nashville
- Weeks 9–7: base and strength — two run + station interval sessions, one longer easy run, and heavy-ish sled and lunge work.
- Weeks 6–3: race-specific work at goal pace, building to a full simulation around week 3. Set your targets with the pace calculator and pacing guide.
- Week 2: keep intensity, trim volume; confirm travel.
- Race week (Dec 7–13): back off, look up your exact start time once it posts on the event page, and work through the race day checklist before you travel.
Starting from scratch? Nashville is just over nine weeks away — a compressed version of the 12-week training plan still works if you already have a running base. Check your loads in the weights guide and your kit with what you can wear in HYROX.
