Race day in HYROX runs best when you’ve planned it in advance. The event itself will stress your body — the logistics shouldn’t add to that. Use this checklist to prepare the night before, organize race morning, and arrive at the start line with nothing left to worry about except your splits.
The Night Before: What to Prepare
Confirm Your Wave Time and Venue Address
Check your confirmation email and note your exact wave start time. Plan to arrive 75–90 minutes before your wave. Confirm venue parking or transit options in advance — convention center parking fills up early.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I arrive for a HYROX race?
75–90 minutes before your wave start time. This allows for parking, athlete check-in lines, course walkthrough, bathroom, and warm-up without rushing.
What ID do I need for HYROX check-in?
A valid government-issued photo ID — passport, driver’s license, or national ID. You cannot check in on behalf of another athlete.
Can I warm up before my HYROX wave?
Yes. Most venues have a designated warm-up area. A 15–20 minute light warm-up is strongly recommended — cold muscles on a SkiErg increase injury risk and performance is worse in the first station.
Is there bag storage at HYROX events?
Most events have a bag drop area near athlete entrance. Check your event information pack for specific details and whether bag drop is free or ticketed.
